The brain child of New York based designer Wenlan Chia, PRAXES is a fashion incubation program aims to nurture global fashion brands and professionals in Taipei. PRAXES offers an authentic industry experience, a boot camp training process and an industry support system to immerse future fashion professionals in holistic aspects of design, marketing, sales and management.
The program is consisted of segments that simulates a real-world fashion company: Design and Art, Marketing and Public Relations, Sales and Customers Relations and PRAXES Fashion Fund. Based on qualifications and interests, PRAXES members are grouped into each segment to learn and to practice fashion business from conceptualizing a brand to developing designs, from building marketing strategy to selling products, and from producing merchandises to serving customers.
PRAXES engages strong industry professionals from one of the world's fashion capitals, New York, and the faculty of Shihchien University's fashion design department to share know-how and provide feedback. PRAXES's industry panel includes designers, stylists, editors, photographers, sales, buyers, social media experts, publicists, marketing experts, model agents, models, make-up artists, hair stylists, show producers…etc.
Through the program, teams in PRAXES build real life brands and introduce them to the global fashion market. In the initial phase of the program, three brands currently are under development, by twenty six graduate and senior undergraduate students of the fashion design department, design college of Shihchien University.
